5.How
do I know if my horse has white line disease and how do I treat
it?
White line disease is a chronic breakdown
of the hoof wall that usually starts as a splitting at the white
line. If left untreated, the entire hoof wall my have to be resected.
Treatment of white line disease must be undertaken with a product
that kills both fungus and bacteria at the same time. The "Sav-A-Hoof" line
of products are for white line disease. For more details, go
to the report: "Taking the Mystery Out of White Line Disease" on
this website.

6.Why
are there different types of "Sav-A-Hoof" products
if they all treat white line disease?
It depends on the severity of the
case and the advice that your farrier and/or vet gives you. Sav-A-Hoof
Gel is a concentrated, time release formula that should be used
for severe cases under pads and in cracks and voids in the hoof
wall. Sav-A-Hoof Liquid should be applied daily on the coronary
band and the hoof wall until the defect grows out. Sav-A-Hoof
Soak is used in conjunction with a therapeutic boot on stubborn
cases as well. Sav-A-Hoof Spray is a convenient, less concentrated
form of treatment. It is used on milder cases or as a preventive.
Many farriers and vets recommend using more than one form of
Sav-A-Hoof products at a time, depending on the severity of the
individual case.

7.What
makes SBS Thrush Stop different than other thrush remedies
on the market?
Thrush Stop effectively kills on contact
the bacteria responsible for thrush. It binds to the protein
of the hoof wall and frog to form long-lasting protection. It
is very safe to handle because it contains no toxic chemicals
like formaldehyde or heavy metals as do competitive products.

8.What
is the purpose of using Farrier's Hoof Sealant and Hoof Armor
Clear Coating? What makes them better than competitive products? Both products are made from a urethane
polymer that makes them extremely durable and abrasion resistant.
Each bottle contains millions of microfibers that act as reinforcement
in filling the larger cracks and nailholes.
